Q1. Is the stone cutting steel grit same as normal steel grit?
No, they are quite different.
Q2. What the main difference between stone cutting grit and steel grit?
First its shape is different, shape of stone cutting steel grit is all in angular shape, but cast steel grit is mostly in spherical; Second made with different raw metal materials; Third, the fatigue life of stone cutting steel grits is quite higher than cast steel grits’.
Q3. What types can be available?
All sizes from G12-G80, screen sizes are same as SAE.
Q4. What’s the hardness?
For stone cutting purpose, it is suggested to use the steel grits with hardness of 50-60 HRC, GL type.
