Steel Shots for Maintenance of High Speed Train
Nowadays the high-speed trains are popular seen in China, but do you know how to maintain trains and its parts? And what materials to use during its maintenance?
During the maintenance of a railway carriage, there's a process called shot blasting. So how to use this shotblasting process for Railroad truck cleaning?
Railway wagons have long been running along the tracks whenever a certain mileage is reached, You need to go to the "railway cleaning center" for checking and for perform regular overhaul and maintenance use steel shots.
For a long time, the surface of each part of the railway will have different degrees of rust due to friction, turbulence and other reasons, and the process of "shot blasting" with cast steel shot is to remove the rust and oxide coating and other attachments on the surface.

After the vehicle is stopped and set up in the overhaul warehouse, the staff must first separate the car body and the bogie, disassemble large and small parts one by one, and transport them to their respective work areas.
The disassembled parts will be sent into the shot blasting (assembled with high carbon steel shot or low carbon steel shot) machine in batches according to the size and shape of the staff after adjusting the relevant parameters, the machine will emit a "tingtang" crash sound.
Under the great centrifugal force generated by the rotation of the machine impeller, the steel shots with a diameter of 2 mm are thrown to the surface of the workpiece. Under the "scouring" of the strong impact force, the rust and oxidation layer attached to the surface of the workpiece gradually fall off and regain the luster.
After great maintenance, the vehicle parts are not only new, but also the service life has been extended. All these good effects are from steel shots!
