Low Carbon Shots Launched

For high carbon steel shots, its carbon content is 0.85-1.20pct, although it is good Abrasive Medias, but fatigue life is only 2500-3000cycles,failed to match higher technical requirements. And subject to raw materials, its quality is not very good.

Under this situations, we developed new blast medias-Low carbon steel shots.

Low carbon steel shots, types from S110-S930 are available. Basis on lower carbon contents, 0.15% max only and bainite structure, it is cracks free and blow holes is almost zero. It has better quality than high carbon steel shots, fatigue life is quite higher than high carbon shots, about 70% higher.

Applications:

In view of so many advantages of low carbon steel shots, for example blasting speed, blasting efficiency etc, it is nowadays the best abrasive medias for Shotblasting and sandblasting purpose. More and more customers use low carbon steel shots to change high carbon steel shots to get better blasting effects. Although its pricing is a little higher, only about 13% higher than high carbon steel shots, but its fatigue life is quite higher, more than 70% than high carbon steel shots. It is very good value and effects.

And from our R&D team, we forever to keep timely development and researching, enhance better quality to our worldwide customers, almost every 3-5months, one new update of low carbon steel shots will be available in use, especially to higher fatigue life.
