High-Quality Steel Cut Wire Shot from China Suppliers and Factory - Cylindrical & Spherical Options Available

Steel cut wire is manufactured from recycled steel materials, primarily sourced from used steel wires, bead wires, and steel ropes. This innovative process involves cutting the steel into granules using advanced cutting machines, resulting in two distinct shapes: cylindrical and spherical. Available sizes range from CW1.0mm to CW3.0mm, ensuring a variety of options for different applications. Notably, the hardness of steel cut wire typically exceeds 50HRC, making it a superior choice compared to steel shots. Through specialized rounding technology, we also produce steel cut shots, offering high-quality spherical shots for diverse industrial uses. As a leading supplier and factory in China, we are committed to delivering exceptional products that meet your specific needs

    Product Applications

Steel cut wires are made of national standard bead wires, widely used in machinery, automobile, shipbuilding, steel structure, pipeline and other manufacturing profiles and workpiece surface cleaning, strengthening and other processes. Through the high-speed operation of the shot blasting machine, the steel cut wire shot is thrown to the surface of the workpiece in the form of a parabola at high speed, so as to clean up the rust and oxide on the surface of the product and achieve a certain finish and roughness. The most popular size is CW1.5mm, and the hardness is higher than 50HRC.

In view of its higher hardness, mostly higher than 50HRC, so it is easier to scuff the workpiece materials, especially to some parts which be with lower hardness, especially lower than 48HRC. So usually it is suggested to blast workpieces to mix with steel shots or steel grits for shotblasting, and should to use similar sizes type. Currently also some customers use Low carbon steel shots to mix with steel cut wire shots to blast workpieces and got very good effects.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. What sizes of steel cut wire are available?
    Mainly we supply CW1.0mm, CW1.2mm, CW1.5mm, CW1.8mm, CW2.0mm, CW2.5mm, CW2.8mm, and CW3.0mm.
Q2. What types of steel cut wire can you supply?
Both steel cut wire and conditioned cut wire are available from our company.
Q3. What is the hardness of the steel cut wire shot?
The hardness is generally higher than 50HRC, which provides efficient cleaning but requires consideration when blasting softer workpieces (below 48HRC).
Q4. Which size of steel cut wire shot is most commonly used?
The most popular and widely used size is CW1.5mm.
Q5. How can I prevent the steel cut wire shot from scuffing softer workpieces?
It is recommended to mix the steel cut wire shots with steel shots or steel grits of similar sizes. Alternatively, mixing with low carbon steel shots is also highly effective in preventing surface scuffing on workpieces with hardness below 48HRC.
Q6. What are the primary applications of steel cut wire shot?
They are widely used in machinery, automobile, shipbuilding, steel structure, pipeline, and other manufacturing profiles for workpiece surface cleaning, oxide and rust removal, and surface strengthening processes.
